In Vladivostok, 14 students of the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) sought medical help due to poisoning symptoms. This was announced on May 26 by the Prosecutor's office of Primorsky Krai.

"The prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation into suspected acute intestinal poisoning among students of the Far Eastern Federal University," the department said in a Telegram message.

It is noted that, according to preliminary data, the students sought medical help on May 21.

The regional prosecutor's office clarified that during the inspection, the agency's specialists will assess compliance with sanitary and epidemiological legislation when catering students. At the same time, all the results and progress of the epidemiological investigation of Rospotrebnadzor have been taken under the control of the prosecutor's office.

As a result of the inspection, as stated in the department, comprehensive response measures will be taken.

On May 24, it became known about the poisoning of 35 children in the sanatorium "Eaglet" in the Perm region. The Investigative Committee of Russia for the region has opened a criminal case into the incident on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet security requirements").
