At least 10 people were poisoned at the Oliva cafe in Makhachkala, Rospotrebnadzor suspended the activities of the institution. This was reported on May 25 in the department.

"On the night of May 24-25, Rospotrebnadzor received emergency notifications about 10 cases of food poisoning. Laboratory results revealed salmonellosis. The department immediately launched an epidemiological investigation of the outbreak of group morbidity, during which it was established that all cases were related to the use of products delivered by order from the Oliva cafe in Makhachkala," the Telegram channel said.

During an unscheduled inspection of the cafe, Rospotrebnadzor employees revealed a number of gross violations of sanitary legislation. The facility did not ensure the continuity of technological processes: finished products were mixed with raw materials, and dirty and clean dishes were not distinguished. In addition, the kitchen was not monitored for proper temperature storage of products, the origin of some of which is unknown, since there were no certificates for it.

It is clarified that the inspection team was not provided with a final report on the results of medical examinations of the employees of the food store, which may indicate that the examinations were fictitious.

The activity of the individual entrepreneur was suspended, and the cafe itself was sealed. All food products and flushes from the food store were presumably selected for examination.

On May 5, the main directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service (GU FSSP) announced the suspension of the Gruzinskaya Lavka cafe in Saratov, where 10 people were also poisoned. The reason for the cafe's closure was a report from the regional center for Hygiene and Epidemiology about the hospitalization of 10 people with acute intestinal infection, four of them with a definitive diagnosis of salmonellosis
