Duma announces arrival of DPRK parliamentary delegation to Russia

The Russian Federation and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea are preparing an exchange of parliamentary visits. This was reported to "Izvestia" in the friendship group with the DPRK.

Vladimir Putin thanked the North Korean military for their help in liberating the Kursk region.

"This year a representative delegation of the CPRF will take part in the celebrations on the occasion of the Day of the founding of the Labor Party of Korea, which will be held in October. In turn, we expect our Korean colleagues to come to Russia in the near future," said Kazbek Taisaev (CPRF), coordinator of the parliamentary friendship group with the DPRK and State Duma deputy.

On May 21, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Moscow is coordinating the visit of DPRK leader Kim Jong-un to Russia, but did not specify specific dates.

The arrival of the Korean leader will continue the meetings of the heads of state at the highest level. In June 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Pyongyang and signed a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement with Kim Jong-un.
