- A jubilee concert dedicated to the 85th anniversary of composer Tukhmanov was held in the Kremlin Palace.

On May 25, the State Kremlin Palace in Moscow hosted the Victory Day anniversary concert dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Soviet and Russian composer, People's Artist of Russia David Tukhmanov.
At the event, the songs of the beloved composer were performed by Lev Leshchenko, Larisa Dolina, Valery Syutkin, the Ivanushki band, Serge and others. The artists told Izvestia about the composer's work. Tukhmanov himself, who turns 85 on July 20, could not attend the concert.
"Tukhmanov is the golden fund of our culture. This is a huge number of songs that the whole country knows and loves. The current generation is also attracted to his work. He never cheated on himself," said Larisa Dolina, People's Artist of the Russian Federation.
She noted that Tukhmanov never compromised, but wrote the music he wanted. Dolina also congratulated the composer on his anniversary and wished him long years in his profession and in life.
Singer Serge said that together with Elena Maximova he will perform the song "I will not approach you." He noted that more than one generation of people grew up on this well-known song.
"It is a great honor for us to try to perform it and touch Tukhmanov's work," the singer shared.
People's Artist of the RSFSR Lev Leshchenko noted that Tukhmanov is also his creative friend and comrade. He stressed that Tukhmanov's 85th birthday is an epochal event for him, as they have been walking along the roads of creativity for half a century.
"David Fedorovich is not only my colleague, my co—author. First of all, this is my friend, one might say, my creative friend. <...> He is a great man, very knowledgeable, and a great professional," Leshchenko said.
The artist also expressed gratitude to Tukhmanov for the wonderful works that appeared on the stage and brought great success to the singer. He stressed that all this was done "under his endless and absolutely amazing talent."
A gala concert of the X International Folk Song Festival "Dobrovision" was held in the Kremlin on May 12. On this day, dozens of renowned bands and performers performed at the main concert venue of the country. Russian President Vladimir Putin wished the participants, organizers and guests of the festival success, inspiration and all the best.
