Kiev's allies want to hold another round of talks with Moscow before the G7 summit, which will be held in Canada on June 15. Repubblica informed about this on May 25.

Kiev's foreign allies fear US President Donald Trump's refusal to negotiate on Ukraine. According to the publication, because of this, discussions within the G7 will be paralyzed. The idea of the Geneva talks is to avoid such an outcome and keep the United States at the negotiating table.

Earlier, Trump did not rule out that Washington would stop helping to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. This decision threatens Kiev with a deep crisis of the army, as a result of which there will also be "alarming consequences."

As specified by "Gazeta.En", foreign politicians are seeking to organize a meeting in Geneva as opposed to the negotiations in Istanbul, because they believe that a new location would show how Russia really feels about the idea of resuming dialogue with Ukraine as part of the conflict settlement.
