The telescope captured the flight of a "fire bird" larger than the Earth over the Sun

Using telescopes, scientists have detected an optical object above the Sun that looks like a bird and surpasses the Earth by more than 10 times. This was reported on May 25 in the press service of the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of the IKI RAS.

"A beautiful and somewhat mysterious image was received yesterday from one of the LASCO telescopes. The image seems to clearly show a "bird" or "flying machine" with a "fiery trail" trailing behind it, the Telegram channel says.

The laboratory of solar astronomy at the IKI RAS said that the size of the wings of the object is about 150 thousand km, while the height of the "flight" above the surface of the Sun was about 2 million km.

It is specified that such phenomena are rare in space.

Earlier in the day, a flare of the highest class X was recorded on the Sun. It is noted that this cosmic phenomenon lasted 17 minutes.
