In Astrakhan, a child was injured after an elevator fell from a height of the sixth floor

A child in Astrakhan was injured as a result of an elevator falling from a height of the sixth floor in an apartment building. This was announced on May 25 by the press service of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region in its Telegram channel.

It is specified that the incident occurred on May 25. The elevator fell as a result of an emergency stop.

According to the agency, a local resident was in the elevator with her husband, brother and two children aged four and seven years.

"A seven—year-old boy suffered a leg injury," the ministry said in a statement.

An investigative and operational group is working at the scene of the incident.

On May 24 (SU IC) of the Russian Federation for the Republic of North Ossetia (RSO) – Alania reported that in Vladikavkaz, a one-and-a-half-year-old girl survived after falling from the 12th floor of an apartment building. According to preliminary information, the girl climbed onto the windowsill, after which she leaned on a mosquito net and fell out of a window on the 12th floor. As a result, she was hospitalized with injuries.
