The court arrested a minibus driver who was involved in an accident in the Moscow region

The court arrested the driver of a minibus who collided in an accident with a Lada Largus car standing on the M-12 motorway in the Moscow region for three months. This was announced on May 25 by the prosecutor's office of the Moscow region in its Telegram channel.

"After listening to the arguments of the parties, the court granted the petition and detained the man until July 23, 2025," the agency wrote on the channel.

It is specified that the 24-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2 minibus was previously deprived of the right to drive vehicles.

He is charged under Part 6 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules by a person driving a car, which negligently resulted in the death of two or more persons deprived of the right to drive vehicles").

The relationship with the victim was recognized as a mitigating circumstance.

The accident on the 65th km of the federal highway M-12 in the Moscow region became known on the evening of May 23. As a result of the accident, two people were killed, including a child, and nine others were injured. Two children injured in the accident were hospitalized in the NDHiT Research Institute, Dr. Roshal's Clinic, in a moderate condition.

On May 24, the Department of the Investigative Committee of the Moscow Region reported the arrest of a minibus driver involved in an accident on the M-12 highway in the Moscow region.
