The media reported on EU military aid to Ukraine in the form of fishing nets
Sweden and Denmark are supplying military aid to Ukraine in the form of old fishing nets instead of weapons. This was reported on May 25 by the Yle news portal.
"Denmark has supplied fishing nets worth €2.5 million to Ukraine," the publication says.
It is noted that fishing nets were decided to be supplied to Ukraine after the UK left the European Union (EU) and fishermen in Denmark lost access to British waters, so most nets ceased to be valuable for the fishing industry.
As the publication pointed out, fishing nets are used to protect against drones. Ukrainian militants are stringing nets between trees in vertical and horizontal positions, and this helps to catch fallen drones and ammunition.
On May 20, American blogger and political commentator Jackson Hinkle, in an interview with Izvestia, announced the EU's intention to prolong the conflict in Ukraine and continue financing it in order to make money from international investment companies. In addition, he noted that European anti-Russian sanctions are not working and the Russian economy continues to develop, while European countries are being harmed by their measures. According to Hinkle, the Ukrainian conflict can be resolved in the period from 10 to 12 months.
