Air defense systems eliminated 110 Ukrainian drones over the regions of the Russian Federation overnight

Russian air defense systems destroyed and intercepted 110 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) overnight. This was announced on May 25 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

It is specified that the enemy drones were hit and intercepted from 00:00 to 07:00 Moscow time.

"During the night <...> 110 Ukrainian aircraft—type unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed and intercepted by air defense systems on duty," the Telegram channel says.

The ministry noted that seven Ukrainian drones were destroyed over the territory of Crimea, 16 drones over the Tula region, 13 each over the Moscow region and the Tver Region, eight UAVs over the Orel region, 14 each over the territories of the Bryansk and Kaluga regions, two over the Smolensk region, ten each over Belgorod and The Kursk regions, and one each over the territories of the Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod and Novgorod regions.

The new weapons are machine guns or submachine guns mounted on special turrets.

Earlier in the day, Kaluga Region Governor Vladislav Shapsha announced that the air defense forces had destroyed 14 drones in the skies over the region. Thus, two of them were destroyed on the outskirts of Obninsk, three drones were eliminated over the territory of the Sukhinichi and Maloyaroslavetsky districts, five drones were destroyed over the Tarussky district, and one UAV was destroyed over the territory of the Borovsky district.
