An earthquake of magnitude 5.4 occurred in the Kosh-Achag district of the Altai Republic. This was reported on May 25 in the press service of the main directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.

The tremor was recorded at 5:35 a.m. Moscow time, 12 km southeast of the village of Kyzyl-Tash. The seismic event was located at a depth of 10 km.

It is specified that the earthquake had a zone of 50 km. 10 settlements with a total population of more than 12 thousand people fell within the radius of its action.
