Spartak Moscow hockey club defeated SKA 1946 from St. Petersburg in the decisive match of the final playoff series of the Youth Hockey League (MHL) and won the Kharlamov Cup. The meeting on Saturday, May 24, was held in Moscow and ended with a score of 6:2.

Forwards Ivan Ryabov and Egor Varyushkin scored a double for the red-Whites, while Makar Nasretdinov and Stepan Tarasenko scored another goal each. Forwards Matvey Korotky and Nikita Suraev scored as part of the guest team.

Thus, the score in the series became 4:3 in favor of Spartak, which allowed the team to win the trophy. Muscovites won the Kharlamov Cup for the second time after the 2013/14 season.

On May 21, in the fifth match of the final series of the KHL playoffs, Yaroslavl hockey club Lokomotiv defeated Chelyabinsk Traktor and won the Gagarin Cup for the first time in history. The game took place in Yaroslavl and ended in overtime with the score 2:1 (0:0, 1:0, 0:1, 1:0) in favor of the owners.
