According to his will, the body of science fiction writer Yuri Nikitin, who died at the age of 86, is planned to be frozen for his possible resurrection. His widow Lilia Nikitina wrote about this on May 24.

"According to Yuri Alexandrovich's last will, his body will be cryopreservated. In order to return to life in the future, when medical technologies reach the required level of development," she wrote on the social network VKontakte.

According to her, Nikitin asked for this because he was a supporter of transhumanism, a movement that appeared in the 1960s in the United States. At the same time, the widow also requested financial support, since the procedure involves significant expenses.

On the same day, Nikitin's death was reported. He wrote over 40 works, which also included the cycle "Three from the Forest", the novel "Faramund", the cycle "Strange Novels", which consists of the books "Transhuman", "I live in this body", "Walking through walls", "I am a singular", "Singomakers", "2024th".
