With calculations of the Iskander tactical missile system (OTRK), Russian military personnel struck a container ship with military equipment that was heading to the port of Odessa. The Russian Ministry of Defense informed about this on May 24.

About 100 containers containing military cargo were placed on the ship. These included backups, drones (UAVs), and ammunition.

As a result of the attack, a secondary detonation of ammunition occurred, which was unloaded onto the pier, and a strong fire broke out.
