The court will consider the issue of placing a 39-year-old woman suspected of attacking people with a knife at a train station in Hamburg for compulsory treatment due to a possible psychiatric illness. This was reported by the city police on May 24.

"And after further investigation, there is still no evidence of the suspect's political motivation. Rather, there is very specific evidence of the suspect's mental illness. To issue an order for placement in a medical facility for compulsory treatment," the Hamburg police said in a statement.

It is noted that the woman will appear before a pre-trial detention judge.

According to the ministry, a total of 18 people aged 19 to 85 were injured in the attack.
