Honored Master of Sports of the USSR, world boxing champion Valery Lvov died at the age of 72. This was announced on May 24 on the website of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of Chuvashia.
"Today, at the age of 73, the world boxing champion, the prize-winner of the European Championship, the Honored Master of Sports of the USSR died <...> Valery Konstantinovich Lvov," the message says.
Valery Lvov was born in 1953. At the age of 18, he became a member of the adult national team of Chuvashia. During his sporting career, he has fought 250 fights and won 50 international victories at major tournaments. After completing his career, he began working as a coach. In addition, with his participation, boxing sections were opened in Cheboksary.
