Russia and India to create legislative framework for deepening cooperation

Negotiations on the creation of a legislative framework for deeper cooperation between Russia and India are already underway. Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, a member of the People's Chamber of the Parliament of India, told Izvestia on May 24.
"Negotiations are underway, and I think the work is progressing. And I don't have the details with me right now, but I'm sure there will be positive results very soon," Karunanidhi said.
During a visit to India in February, Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin called for the creation of a legislative framework for a more dynamic development of relations between the two countries.
Earlier, on April 29, Debjit Chakraborty, director of the joint Russian-Indian integrator RISING, told Izvestia that India is seeking cooperation with Russia in the field of technology, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. According to him, relations between India, Russia and the BRICS countries are an alliance made in heaven. Changes are coming to the global economy, especially in the technological sphere, and technology will become an integral part of trade.
On February 18, Russia and India signed an agreement to simplify cooperation between the two countries' defense ministries in organizing joint events.
