An explosion of household gas occurred in Donetsk


As a result of an explosion of household gas in a five-storey building in Donetsk, four people were injured. This was reported on May 24 in the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
The footage shows that windows were blown out in many apartments due to the explosion.
"In the Kievsky district, in an apartment of a five-story building, an explosion of household gas is believed to have occurred without subsequent combustion. Gorenje Rescuers released three people from the rubble: two women and one man," the department's Telegram channel says.
It is specified that a child was also injured as a result of the incident, all the victims were handed over to emergency medical personnel. According to the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations, 38 specialists and nine pieces of equipment are working on site.
"Upon the fact of a gas—air mixture popping in an apartment of a multi-storey building in the Kievsky district of Donetsk, a procedural check is being conducted under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements")," the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the DPR noted.
The press service of the regional prosecutor's office added that the progress of the audit of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation was taken over by the department.
Earlier, on May 21, a gas explosion occurred in an apartment building in Stavropol, as a result of which three people were injured. The governor of the Stavropol Territory, Vladimir Vladimirov, spoke about the elimination of the fire after the emergency and gave instructions to restore the house in which the explosion occurred in two weeks. A criminal case was opened into the incident.
