Russian air defense forces shot down a Mig-29 aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Russian air defense forces shot down a MiG-29 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force. This was announced on May 24 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"A MiG-29 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force and three JDAM guided aerial bombs were shot down by air defense systems," the report said.

The ministry added that 174 enemy drones and seven HIMARS multiple rocket launchers were also hit.

In addition, the Russian army destroyed ammunition depots, the aviation center of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian units.

On the night of February 26, 128 Ukrainian UAVs were launched across the regions of Russia.

Earlier that day, it became known that air defense systems intercepted 10 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the Belgorod region. It was clarified that the Ukrainian drones were intercepted from 8:00 to 8:30 Moscow time.
