Lavrov pointed to the West's ambiguous perception of strengthening multipolarity.

Western countries perceive the situation with the strengthening of multipolarity ambiguously. This was announced on May 24 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
According to him, Russia is convinced that the formation of a multipolar world is a "natural process."
"The Global South and the Global East see multipolarity as a chance to strengthen their sovereign development without the proliferation of neo-colonialism from the West in recent years. Well, it is clear that the West perceives the situation with the strengthening of multilateral principles of international life quite ambiguously," Lavrov said at the annual assembly of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy (SWAP).
On May 10, Senator Alexei Pushkov, Chairman of the Russian Federation's Commission on Information Policy and Media Relations, said that Russia plays a key role in establishing a new world order based on multipolarity. He also added that the West seeks to isolate Russia in the international arena.
