The air defense forces intercepted 10 Ukrainian drones over the Belgorod region in half an hour.

Air defense systems intercepted 10 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in half an hour over the Belgorod region. This was announced on May 24 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"10 Ukrainian aircraft—type unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted by air defense systems on duty over the territory of the Belgorod region," the Telegram channel said.

The ministry noted that the Ukrainian drones were intercepted from 8:00 to 8:30 Moscow time.

The new weapons are machine guns or submachine guns mounted on special turrets.

Earlier that day, the air defense forces destroyed 94 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over six regions of Russia. Thus, two Ukrainian drones were shot down over the territory of the Kursk region, 64 drones over the Belgorod region, two UAVs over the Lipetsk region, one over the Voronezh Region, 24 over the Bryansk region, and one over the territory of the Tula region.
