Air defense systems destroyed 94 Ukrainian drones over six regions of Russia

The Air Defense Forces destroyed 94 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) during the night and morning. This was announced on May 24 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"During the past night and morning of May 24, 94 Ukrainian aircraft—type unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by air defense systems on duty," the Telegram channel says.

The ministry clarified that two Ukrainian drones were shot down over the territory of the Kursk region, 64 drones over the Belgorod region, two UAVs over the Lipetsk region, one over the Voronezh Region, 24 over the Bryansk region, and one over the territory of the Tula region.

The new weapons are machine guns or submachine guns mounted on special turrets.

The day before, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 112 Ukrainian drones, including 24 drones that were shot down over the territory of the Moscow region, as well as 22 drones destroyed over the Republic of Crimea.
