The Lipetsk region was subjected to a massive raid by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), drones crashed in the Yelets industrial area. This was announced on May 24 by the governor of the region Igor Artamonov.

"Drone crashes in the Yelets industrial area," he said in a message on his Telegram channel.

He added that, according to preliminary information, there were no casualties. Specialists are working at the crash site of the UAV. The air defense and electronic warfare forces are also active in the region.

On May 23, Artamonov reported that the air defense forces destroyed UAVs in the city of Yelets, their debris fell on the territory of the industrial zone, causing a fire. He later added that at least 20 apartments in Lipetsk were damaged as a result of falling drones, nine people were injured. Vasily Razumnov, head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Lipetsk region, in turn, said that an emergency regime had been introduced in Yelets.
