Russia has surpassed Ukraine in the production of medium-range FPV drones and their fiber-optic modifications, which has changed the face of the entire front line. This was reported on May 23 by the British newspaper The Times.

"Russia has moved ahead in the drone race, ahead of Kiev in the production and use of medium-range FPV drones, as well as their fiber-optic modifications, which have changed the appearance of the entire 1.2 thousand km front line," the article says.

The authors also note that over the past six months, the range of Russian drones has been significantly increased. In particular, such models as the Lightning–1 and Lightning–2 can strike at a distance of 20 km. In addition, as the Ukrainian militants told the publication, the new generation of drones of the Russian Federation is most often immune to interference.
