From May 30 to June 8, the capital will host the gastronomic festival "Moscow — on the wave. Fish week". Various events are organized at over 30 city venues, said Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.

Visitors will be offered to try various treats. "Manufacturers from all over Russia will present their products. Chum salmon, pink salmon and catfish will be brought from the Far East, haddock, mackerel and sea urchin from the Murmansk Region, and flounder, mussels and horse mackerel from the southern regions," Sergunina said.

Guests will also be able to participate in creative activities. Culinary master classes will be held, among others, in the Kurkino, Teply Stan, Zyablikovo districts and at two fish markets "Moscow — on the wave". Participants will prepare curry with perch, couscous with mussels, squid stuffed with rice and vegetables.

There will also be sports competitions. "Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the fishing championship, and the cultural program will include concerts and lectures," the deputy mayor added.

The flagship site will be located on pedestrian School street in Tagansky district. There will be an open-air market, where about 500 items of freshly frozen, chilled and smoked fish and seafood will be presented.

A historical exhibition will also be located here. Visitors will see the uniforms of Russian and Soviet sailors of the late 17th and mid—20th centuries, as well as elements of their equipment and accoutrements.

The event's partners will also offer to purchase river and sea delicacies — over 140 markets and fairs, as well as more than 3,000 shops. In 300 cafes and restaurants, you can try special menu dishes: baked langoustines with cheese, stingray fin with capers and lemon sauce, as well as trout soup in Karelian style and much more.

The festival will be part of the large-scale "Summer in Moscow" project, which will combine seasonal activities from June 1 to September 7.
