The Novosibirsk Regional Court seized the property of Andrey Khomin, former head of the Department of Economic Security and Anti-Corruption of the Novosibirsk Department of the Interior Ministry. This was reported on May 23 in the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation.
"A former employee of the internal affairs body used income, the legality of which has not been confirmed, to purchase 15 real estate objects," the website of the supervisory authority clarified.
According to the agency, the cost of all purchases for unregistered Homin's income exceeded 69 million rubles.
In addition, the former policeman is accused of accepting bribes for patronizing illegal gambling activities in Novosibirsk.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, in order to conceal his real property status, Khomin registered assets with relatives and relatives. Part of the property was registered to his ex-wife, whom he formally divorced in 2017, but continued to live together.
On May 20, the Meshchansky District Court of Moscow arrested Sergei Ivanov, the former deputy governor of the Tambov Region, in a bribery case. As reported, the court granted the investigator's request and appointed Ivanov a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of two months. He is charged under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Receiving a particularly large bribe").
