The main task of the Russian military-industrial complex (MIC) is to meet the needs of the army for conducting a special military operation (SVO). This was stated on May 23 by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting of the Commission on Military-technical Cooperation with Foreign countries.

"The military-industrial complex continues to operate in an enhanced mode, for almost the entire range of products. And the key, primary task remains unchanged — it is to provide all the necessary units, units participating in a special military operation," Putin stressed.

The Head of State noted the quality, reliability and effectiveness of military products manufactured in the country. The Russian leader also instructed to pay attention to promising models of equipment, including laser complexes and command and control systems that use artificial intelligence (AI). According to Putin, these weapons are the future of the military equipment market.

Earlier, on April 23, the president said that the tasks of the Russian military-industrial complex (MIC) for this year are even more ambitious than in the past. In addition, he noted the need to adapt weapons to new rapidly changing forms and methods of warfare.
