- The leader of the Pan-Armenian Front movement called Moscow a strategic ally of Yerevan

Russia is a strategic ally of Armenia and can become a guarantor of the implementation of the peace treaty between Yerevan and Baku. This opinion was expressed by the leader of the Pan-Armenian Front movement, ex-Minister of Defense of Armenia, Major General Arshak Karapetyan during a press conference held at the Izvestia News Center.
During the conversation with the media representatives, topics such as the Armenian-Russian relations, the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as Moscow's role in ensuring the republic's security were raised.
Karapetyan, in particular, noted that the state of the Armenian armed forces leaves much to be desired. According to him, the most important thing a soldier should have is spirit and faith, and an officer is the national treasure of any nation, the most valuable thing a state can have.
Speaking about the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, Karapetyan expressed confidence that Russia is striving to ensure that neither side has a desire to start hostilities. Any peace agreement must have a guarantor, he noted.
"Russia is once again offering its participation in the process of achieving long—term peace, and is ready to be a guarantor," stressed the leader of the Pan-Armenian Front.
