Military-technical cooperation with other countries is a strategically important area. This was announced on May 23 by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting of the commission on military-technical cooperation with foreign countries.

"Last year <...> our enterprises fulfilled their export obligations as a whole. In some cases, together with foreign partners, decisions have been made that satisfy both sides, and the forms and methods of interaction have been flexibly and promptly adjusted," the head of state noted.

According to Putin, the country's military-industrial complex (MIC) is now continuing to operate in an enhanced mode and its key task is to provide all necessary units involved in a special military operation.

"Russia continues to be among the top five leaders in the global arms market and maintains its leading export positions in many areas. This once again confirms the quality, reliability and efficiency of the manufactured products...> military products," the President stressed.

He also called for improving cooperation with foreign partners to promote Russian arms exports and offer them not only specific equipment, but also a wider range of services, such as technological cooperation, joint development of samples, assistance in their modernization, and training of foreign specialists.

On April 23, Putin announced that the tasks of the Russian military-industrial complex (MIC) for the current year are even more ambitious than in the past. In addition, he stated the need for effective adaptation of weapons and equipment to new rapidly changing forms and methods of warfare.
