Accused of murdering a child in Berdyansk arrested

A girl accused of murdering a seven-year-old child in the city of Berdyansk, Zaporizhia region, was taken into custody. This was reported on May 23 in the press service of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the region.

"The court, at the request of the investigator of the Investigative Committee, chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the accused of murdering a seven—year-old child," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

It is specified that the girl was arrested for two months. Investigators continue to collect and consolidate evidence in the criminal case.

On May 17, the body of a seven-year-old girl with signs of violent death was found near a forest belt in Berdyansk. Two days later, law enforcement officers detained a 14-year-old local woman on suspicion of murdering a seven-year-old girl. In addition, during the interrogation, the attacker told about several more victims.
