In the Moscow Region, a minor born in 2014 died after being electrocuted at the Khlebnikovo railway station. This was reported on May 23 in the press service of the Western Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia (IC RF).

"A criminal case has been opened into the fatal injury of a teenager born in 2014 on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of safety and operation of railway transport, resulting in the death of a person by negligence")," follows from a publication in the Telegram channel.

It is specified that the teenager climbed onto the roof of an electric train carriage, as a result of which he received an electric shock. According to the press service of the department, the victim died at the scene from his injuries.

The investigators conducted an inspection of the scene and appointed an expert examination to establish the circumstances of the incident.

Earlier, on February 15, at the crossing between Brasovo and Komarichi stations, three people were injured due to a collision between an electric train and a truck in the Bryansk region. Despite the fact that the driver managed to slow down, the distance was not enough to avoid an incident.
