More than a third of Russians plan to open their own business


More than a third of Russians want to start their own business, and 79% of respondents admitted that they are already forming or planning to save for this purpose. With the data obtained during the research conducted by Sberbank Life Insurance and the job search service "Work.<url>" on the eve of the Day of Russian Entrepreneurship, read Izvestia.
According to the survey, 43% of Russians want to develop within their profession, 35% are considering starting their own business, and another 22% want to take retraining courses to try themselves in a new field. 43% of those who want to start a business intend to start saving money in the near future, another 36% are already forming savings for this purpose.
At the same time, opinions differed about the amount needed to start your own business. Thus, every third (27%) Russian expects to invest up to 1 million rubles. Slightly less — 26% — plan to spend up to 3 million rubles. One in four (24%) plans to meet the amount of up to 500 thousand rubles, another 23% of respondents estimated investments in their own business in excess of 3-5 million rubles.
"Russians turned out to be united on the issue of accumulating savings. Thus, 90% of respondents are sure that it is necessary to allocate a part of the budget for these purposes. Of these, 54% try to save at least something from time to time, and 36% regularly save about 10-15% of their income. Savings can be generated in various ways, including using modern financial instruments. For example, with the help of life insurance programs — cumulative life insurance (NSH) and shared life insurance (DSH). The peculiarity of such programs is the presence of an insurance shell," explained Alexander Tikhomirov, Investment Director of Sberbank Life Insurance.
Most Russians (26%) plan to engage in business related to the service sector, 15% — with trade, 11% — with catering, 7% — with entertainment. Entrepreneurship in the field of education is considered by 5% of respondents, 4% of respondents want to open an online store or earn money from design, and another 3% are focused on business related to tourism.
The survey was conducted in the second half of May on the job search platform "Jobs.ru". More than 3.5 thousand people took part in it.
Earlier, on May 19, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov noted that the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation are working on increasing the revenue threshold for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
On the same day, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that the government had allocated 1.5 billion rubles to support the entry of small and medium-sized domestic businesses into foreign markets. He stressed that the Russian government will continue to develop the infrastructure to support SMEs in the regions of the state.
