The cosmetologist listed vitamins useful in care cosmetics

Just as our body needs proper nutrition and saturation with useful substances, so does the skin. Olga Perevozshchikova, an esthetician and technologist at the Arabia Laboratories cosmetics brand, told Izvestia on May 25 which vitamins are especially important for the epidermis and how to apply them.
The expert noted that vitamins A, E and C. Vitamin A in the form of retinol should be used after the age of 25 as part of beauty products. The most important for the health of the skin of the face and body are vitamins A, E and C. Vitamin A in the form of retinol should be used after the age of 25. It is at this age that the synthesis of collagen and elastin begins to decrease, and retinol prevents this, reducing the likelihood of wrinkles. Vitamin A also regulates sebum secretion well and is suitable for restoring problem skin.
According to her, vitamin C also has a positive effect on the production of collagen and elastin, neutralizes free radicals, and helps lighten age spots. Vitamin E is similar in characteristics to A and C, it slows down the aging process of the skin and perfectly moisturizes.
The esthetician explained that vitamins C and E are perfectly combined and complement each other. For example, C has a drying effect, and vitamin E has a moisturizing effect. Vitamin E oil in combination with vitamin C helps to reduce pigmentation, smooth out post-acne scars, and provide antioxidant protection to the skin. But it is better to use vitamins A and C separately: for example, vitamin C in the afternoon, vitamin A in the evening.
Vitamins C, A, and E can be combined with many other components, such as hyaluronic acid, Centella Asiatica, and sanskrit.
"I recommend using a vitamin cream with an antioxidant complex, it contains the most important vitamins, niacinamide and D-panthenol. This combination of ingredients restores the skin, protects against photoaging, evens tone and texture, increases the synthesis of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid, and protects against the negative effects of the environment," Perevozshchikova added.
According to her, it is necessary to carefully consider the selection of cream for sensitive or problematic skin. There should be a special label on the product, and there should be moisturizing ingredients in the composition. But do not be alarmed if redness or peeling appears on the skin at the beginning of the application of retinol (vitamin A). This is a normal reaction during the adaptation period, and these symptoms will disappear over time.
The technologist advised not to forget that not only the face needs vitamins, but also the skin of the whole body. Creams for it have a denser texture to provide long-lasting hydration for large areas of the epidermis. This comprehensive approach to care will help the skin stay smooth, supple and young for longer.
Earlier, on April 16, Natalia Mikhailova, a cosmetologist and creator of the MESALTERA by Dr. Mikhaylova brand of professional cosmeceuticals, told Izvestia that mild cleansers should be used in the warm season — foams, gels or mousses with the addition of acids or enzymes. They effectively dissolve sebum and impurities without damaging the skin. At the same time, aggressive formulations and excessive mechanical peeling should be avoided.
