US President Donald Trump has threatened Apple with 25 percent tariffs on any iPhones sold but not manufactured in the country. He wrote about this on the Truth Social network on May 23.

"I informed [Apple CEO] a long time ago. To Tim Cook <...> that I expect their iPhones, which will be sold in the United States of America, to be manufactured and assembled in the United States, not in India or anywhere else. If this is not the case, Apple will have to pay the United States a tariff of at least 25%," the American leader said.

Earlier, on April 3, after the introduction of import duties, the price of Apple shares fell by 9.55% per day and amounted to $202.52 per unit.
