A large-scale tree transplant has been completed in Krasnoyarsk

A large-scale tree transplant has been completed on Nikolaevsky Prospekt in Krasnoyarsk. The work is related to the preparation for the construction of the Kopylova Street metro station, the press service of the Mayor's office reported on Friday, May 23.
According to the city administration, 235 trees have moved to Stepanov, Serebryany, Festivalny and other public spaces.
The transplant procedure was carried out carefully: the green spaces were dug out of the ground, wrapped in burlap, after which they were planted in new places with the help of a crane.
Among the trees that have changed their place of residence are spruce, mountain ash, cedar pine, linden, birch. In the future, they will be carefully monitored and cared for: regularly watered and fed, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency.
Earlier it was reported that landscaping works have begun in the center of Krasnoyarsk in preparation for the 400th anniversary of the city. There are plans to renovate 15 cross streets, four of them in the current season.
