The expert gave advice on making a career plan.

Many people make the mistake of moving towards goals without a clear strategy, whereas a well-thought-out plan helps to avoid chaotic decisions and ensures stable growth. Oksana Semenova, head of the Financial Institutions Practice and career consultant at Cornerstone, shared this opinion in an interview with Izvestia on May 24.
"A career plan is not just a wish list, but a well—thought-out roadmap. It helps not only to set goals, but also to see ways to achieve them, evaluate your strengths and areas for development," the expert explained.
According to the expert, this approach provides a clear understanding of the professional future, supports motivation and promotes continuous development. It is important not only to set an end goal, but also to break down the path to it into stages, providing the necessary resources — from additional education to participation in specialized events.
In addition, it is important to regularly review your progress. This allows you to adjust your strategy in time and stay on course. The expert noted that tools like a diary of achievements or working with a mentor help to keep the focus on the main thing.
"A systematic approach to career planning significantly increases the chances of success. The main thing is not to be afraid to revise the plan if circumstances or priorities change," Semenova summed up.
Earlier, on May 23, Izvestia reviewed a survey conducted by the ROSTIC'S fast-food restaurant chain and the Salary job search service.<url>", where the professional fields with the fastest career growth were named. According to the survey, 46% of Russians expressed the opinion that the fastest way to achieve career growth is in IT, 29% — in sales, 28% — in banking and finance. Among the zoomers— citizens aged 18 to 25, the top industries are different: in the first positions they have administrative staff (50%) and catering (38%).
