Kuban farmers bought 350 million rubles worth of fields from the state

From January to May 2025, farmers of the Krasnodar Territory bought agricultural land from the state for a total amount of more than 350 million rubles. The regional administration announced this on Friday, May 23.

The region is implementing a state program for the sale of agricultural land to bona fide tenants on preferential terms. The project was extended until the end of the current 2025.

So, after six years of lease, the cost of the site is 80% of the cadastral value, after nine years — 70%, 12 years — 60%. If you rent for 15 years or more, the discount will be half of the cadastral value.

According to the plan of the regional authorities, favorable conditions for the sale of land to farmers are investments in the future of villages. They allow us to sow more fields, expand farms, improve product quality, introduce new technologies and create additional jobs.

Currently, there are more than 560 thousand hectares in regional ownership in Kuban, of which more than 520 thousand hectares are classified as agricultural land. About 400 thousand hectares have already been leased, writes KrasnodarMedia news agency.

Earlier in May, Izvestia reported that frosts had destroyed 12% of sugar beet crops, and they would have to be replanted. Also, the southern regions of Russia may lose up to half of the harvest of apricots, peaches, cherries and plums.
