Extreme fire danger is expected in nine districts of Transbaikalia.

An emergency class of fire danger is predicted in nine districts of the Trans-Baikal Territory in the coming days. This was announced on Friday, May 23, according to the Telegram channel of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

So, from May 24 to May 26, the fire situation is expected to worsen in Ononsky, Chita and Karymsky districts. From May 25 to May 26, the Uletovsky district will be under threat, and on May 26 — Zabaikalsky, Duldurginsky, Priargunsky, Tungokochensky and Krasnokamensky districts.

Forecasters predict increased winds, which will increase the risk of fire spreading over large areas. In connection with what is happening, the Ministry of Emergency Situations urges residents and guests of the region to observe fire safety measures.

Currently, a special fire protection regime and a federal emergency regime in forests continue to operate in Transbaikalia. Administrative and criminal liability is provided for violations of the established requirements, writes ChitaMedia news agency.

Since the beginning of the fire season in Transbaikalia, 93 perpetrators of wildfires have been identified, of which 39 are minors. During this time, 6 thousand patrols of the forest were also conducted.
