At least 60 people have died as a result of Israeli strikes on the territory of the Gaza Strip over the past day. This was announced on May 23 by the Ministry of Health of the exclave.

"Over the past 24 hours, 60 dead and 185 injured have been admitted to hospitals in the Gaza Strip," the agency's Telegram channel reported.

It is clarified that the statistics do not include deaths and injuries in the northern part of Gaza due to difficult access to the area.

In addition, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health, after the outbreak of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in October 2023, the death toll in the Palestinian enclave increased to 53,822, while the number of injured amounted to at least 122,382 people.

Meanwhile, Israel is planning a new military operation.
