The Kuibyshevsky District Court of St. Petersburg fined 84-year-old blockade survivor Lyudmila Vasilyeva in the case of discrediting the army. This was announced on May 23 by channel 78.

It is indicated that in February 2024, an elderly woman went to Nevsky Prospekt with a poster discrediting the Russian Armed Forces.

The amount of the fine imposed on the pensioner will amount to 10 thousand rubles, 78 noted.

On April 21, Vladimir Putin signed a law on criminal liability for discrediting the Russian army. The law also tightens criminal liability for discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation due to personal hostility or due to receiving financial payments.
