New formats are gaining popularity: weekend trips to neighboring cities, outdoor recreation, and large trips with family or friends visiting several regions. The number of tourist trips is steadily growing. Last summer, 45 million people traveled across the country, 17 million of them were motorists," Maxim Reshetnikov noted in his report. "On behalf of the President of Russia, regional programs for the development of autotourism are being formed in the regions. Such programs have already been approved in 56 regions," he added.
