The Moscow region was included in the top 10 regions in terms of eco-collection amounts

The Moscow Region has entered the top 10 regions of Russia in terms of environmental fees. This is reported by the regional Ministry of Ecology and Nature Management with reference to Rosprirodnadzor.

The online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya explains: according to Russian law, manufacturers and importers of certain types of goods and packaging must dispose of waste and pay an eco-collection fee. This work is of great importance, since packaging and packaging account for a significant part of the waste in illegal landfills, said the head of the department Vitaly Mosin.

In the whole country, the amount of the environmental fee amounted to 19.7 billion rubles. In addition to the Moscow region, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Bashkiria, Tatarstan, Ryazan, Tula, Lipetsk, Novosibirsk and Leningrad regions are among the leaders.

Earlier it was reported that Dmitry Patrushev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, instructed Rosprirodnadzor to inspect enterprises without comprehensive environmental permits. According to him, enterprises should systematically abandon outdated and resource-intensive technologies in favor of more modern and environmentally friendly ones that are safe for the environment and for people. There are socially significant facilities among the debtors, which is of the greatest concern.
