Russian actor Gosha Kutsenko performed the song "Guys from our Yard", which originally appeared in the fifth studio album of the band "Songs about People", released in 1997, as part of the tribute "Lube. 35. Everything begins again ...".

As the actor said on May 22, he became familiar with "Lube" in 1989 after the first year of the Moscow Art Theater Studio School. Together with actor Vyacheslav Razbegaev, also a friend of the Lyube leader Nikolai Rastorguev, they went to Italy to work. We took cassettes with songs by Viktor Tsoi and "Lyube" with us.

"We had music with us, which we worked, rested, and hung out to. We showed our music to the Italians — of course, Choi was with us and there were "Lube". We knew all the songs by heart, walked like "Lyubertsy" in wide trousers, and the whole of Italy was infected with "Lube". They tried to translate all this word to Italians. The best years, youth ...", recalls Kutsenko.

The actor said that he worked on his version of the song "Guys from our yard" with his friend Ruslan, an arranger and composer.

"He says, 'What do you want to do with her? It's perfectly made, with such light trip-hop and disco choruses." I say, "What if it's disco?" Nikolai was reciting the choruses, and I offered to sing them. I eventually sent the version to Kolya (Rastorguev. — Ed.), and he texted me, "Great," and that it was one of the best covers he'd ever heard. So we boldly went ahead," Kutsenko shared.

According to the actor, at first he was offered another song, but he asked her to replace it with "Guys from our yard." He added that he had sent his finished version to Rastorguev. The singer praised the performance and called this cover one of the best he had ever heard.

On March 14, it was reported that the Chaif group performed the Lyube song "Two Girlfriends" as part of the tribute "Lyube. 35. Everything starts again...". The song was released on all music platforms. As the musicians of the Lube group themselves noted in their VKontakte community, the song played with a new meaning and a different mood in the performance of Chaifa.

The tribute "Lyube. 35. Everything starts again..." is a reinterpretation of the band's songs by other musicians in their signature style. The idea to record such an album appeared more than a year ago, and more than 50 artists and bands of various generations and genres took part in the work on it.

The release of the first part of the tribute album "Lube. 35. Everything starts again ..." took place on February 21. So, the first part of the album includes such popular songs of the band as "Battalion Commander" performed by Alexander Marshal, "Taganskaya Station" performed by Garik Sukachev, "There, beyond the mists" performed by Elena Vaenga, "Horse" performed by the Sretensky Monastery choir, "The main thing is that I have you" performed by the band "25/17" and others.
