The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) has commissioned the Kropotkinskaya oil pumping station, which was damaged after an attack by a Ukrainian UAV in February. This was announced on May 23 by the company's press service.

"On May 23, 2025, after a complex of restoration work, the Kropotkinskaya nuclear power plant, which was previously damaged as a result of the UAV attack, was launched into the technological pumping mode. During the construction and installation work, transformers, a gas turbine unit along with generators were repaired, a closed switchgear and cable trestles were restored, control cabinets were replaced and repaired," the report says.

The attack by Ukrainian drones on the CPC infrastructure took place on February 17. It will be clarified that there were no casualties among the company's employees. The workers managed to prevent the threat of an oil spill.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on February 19 that a strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) would affect global energy markets. As a result of the incident, Western equipment was damaged at the enterprise, which could not be quickly restored.

In addition, on March 24, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian air defense systems intercepted a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) 7 km from the Kropotkinskaya oil pumping station.
