Peskov called the effective work of the air defense to repel attacks by drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian air defense systems effectively repel drone attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on May 23 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"Our air defense is effectively fighting these attacks," Peskov said at a briefing.

The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation noted that the Kiev regime retains its essence, continuing to attack peaceful facilities and social infrastructure in Russia.

More than 30 sites have been hit since agreements were reached on steps to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.

On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that Russian air defense systems had intercepted and destroyed 112 Ukrainian drones. It was clarified that all the drones were of the airplane type.
