Alaudinov announced Akhmat's refusal to capture foreign mercenaries of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Akhmat special forces unit has never been tasked with capturing foreign mercenaries fighting on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The commander of the unit, deputy head of the main military and political directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Apti Alaudinov, told RIA Novosti on May 23.

"We have never captured a single foreigner, that is, in general, such a task was not initially set <...> Any foreigner who entered the territory of the Russian Federation, he must be dead, or he can go home and tell what it's like to fight the Russians and Russia," he stressed.

Alaudinov added that this does not apply to the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they are ordered to be captured if they are ready to stop fighting. He noted that there are many forcibly mobilized soldiers in the ranks of the Ukrainian army who are involved in the conflict against their will.
