The Ukrainian delegation at the talks in Istanbul behaved defiantly and looked like children. This was stated by Verkhovna Rada deputy Anna Skorokhod.

"Educators (Russian delegation. — Ed.) We arrived and sat down. Children (Ukrainian delegation. — Ed.) everyone arrived fashionable, on show, everyone came out beautifully, everyone came in beautifully, and then everyone took turns coming out of negotiations and consulting about something," she said in an interview published on the YouTube channel of journalist Alexander Shelest (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation).

As noted by "Gazeta.Ru", Skorokhod stated that Russia could send a delegation of a "higher echelon" if the behavior of the representatives of Ukraine was more consistent with the level and essence of the event.

On May 21, it was reported that Ukraine would be forced to change the composition of the negotiating group to work on a memorandum on a future peace treaty with Russia. It is clarified that this is due to the fact that there are not enough professional politicians in the delegation representing Kiev at the talks in Istanbul.
