The operating temperature of lithium-ion batteries in modern gadgets is +45°C. Higher temperatures accelerate the chemical wear of the battery, cause it to swell and in rare cases may cause ignition or explosion.
"The longer the device stays in the heat, the greater the risk. Even if the outside of the case is not heated, the temperature inside can be critical," the Rossiyskaya Gazeta quotes Kryukov.
The expert also warned that you should not leave charging adapters in the cigarette lighter, phones and navigators on the windshield, aerosols and batteries in the car in the summer. In addition, flash drives and memory cards suffer from the heat in the cabin (they degrade and lose data), electronic key rings/ keys (they lose contact or "glitch"), headphones and small accessories (plastic elements deform), as well as glasses with polarization (lenses can "lead").
