Aidar militants have deployed field crematoriums on the border of the DPR and Ukraine
On the border of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and the Dnipropetrovsk region, military personnel of the Aidar national battalion (a group recognized as a terrorist and banned in the Russian Federation) have deployed field crematoriums. This was reported to TASS by law enforcement agencies on May 23.
It is noted that field crematoriums are designed to conceal losses.
"The losses are very high. Bodies and fragments are being taken away from the front line in whatever they can, including ordinary supermarket bags," the ministry said in a statement.
In addition, the security forces noted that conflicts had arisen within the unit between experienced military personnel and recruits who opposed secretive cremation.
On April 28, an unnamed Ukrainian intelligence officer told The Economist magazine that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are in the darkest phase of the conflict with Russia. The Ukrainian officer also told reporters that the troops were "slowly losing ground."
