82% of Russians trust Russian President Vladimir Putin. This follows from the updated rating of the head of state, published on the website of the Public Opinion Foundation (POM).

According to the survey, 82% of citizens believe that Putin is rather good at his duties, while 6% rate his work negatively. 82% of respondents trust the president, while 9% expressed distrust, the same number found it difficult to answer.

The FOM clarified that the study took place from May 16 to May 18, 2025 in 97 settlements in 51 regions of Russia. 1.5 thousand people over the age of 18 took part in the survey. The statistical error of the results does not exceed 3.6%.

In addition, 56% of Russians positively assess the work of the Russian government, 22% consider it rather bad. 58% of respondents support Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, while 9% do not support him.

As for parliamentary preferences, 48% said they would vote for the United Russia party, 10% for the Liberal Democratic Party, 7% for the Communist Party, 2% for the New People, and 3% for A Just Russia.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on January 17 that the Russian president enjoys enormous popular support. At that time, VTsIOM and the Public Opinion Foundation (POM) presented the results of surveys that demonstrated the level of trust in the Russian leader at 78.3 and 79%.
